Sekolah Nusa Alam is a bilingual national-plus school providing an integrated international and Indonesian education to the children of Lombok. It is licensed under Indonesian law as a private school, including kindergarten, primary and junior and senior secondary departments. In July 2009 we will be starting SMA at Year 10. It provides the only international standard and style of education available in Lombok.
Sekolah Nusa Alam offers high standard international-style education for both expatriate and Indonesian children from the ages of three to sixteen
In Lombok, close to the beach and surrounded by green fields, the school is situated in the Montong area and is only a short drive from Ampenan, Mataram and Cakranegara to the south and Senggigi to the north.
At Sekolah Nusa Alam teaching is matched to the needs of the individual. Children receive the support necessary to develop in keeping with their age, ability and aptitude so that they may attain their fullest potential. Small class sizes and bright, attractive, well equipped classrooms provide an ideal environment for successful learning.
Sekolah Nusa Alam is now well-established within the Indonesian educational community and is often used as a showcase to demonstrate international best practice to teachers, administrators and visitors.
Children from Sekolah Nusa Alam, whose families have relocated from Lombok, have been confidently accepted into international and national school systems in the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, USA and elsewhere in Indonesia.
Sekolah Nusa Alam, now offers TK (Prep - Year 2), SD (Year 3 - Year 6), SMP (Year 7 to 9) and SMA (Starting Year 10 in July 2009). When students start Year 9 they have the option to complete SMP, as well as undertake the Cambridge International Examinations IGCSE Group certificate (In Year 9 and 10) and then go onto to study A levels in Year 11 and 12.
